Intention of Reopening Letter

May 24, 2020

Good afternoon TBC Family,

Many of you have been asking, when we will be able to go back to Church?  As you have probably heard by now president Trump has deemed churches and other places of worship as essential for the well-being of our nation.  We applaud his concern and efforts to protect our first amendment rights. We also realize that this virus has caused great harm to our nation and the world. Since Bucks County is still one of the counties in what is called “The Red Zone” the Official Board of Trinity Bible Church has made the following decision regarding our Re-Opening.

We have prayerfully decided it would be prudent for us to Re-open on June 7, 2020However, considering our Wednesday Night service has a smaller attendance, we will open for prayer this coming Wednesday May 27, 2020 at 7:00pm and also meet for prayer on Wednesday June 3, 2020 at 7:00pm all the while observing social distancing guidelines.

The state has indicated that religious institutions are exempt from the stay-at-home-order and the Secretary of Health indicated that churches are not prohibited from larger gatherings so long as they were below 50% occupancy, however, this should NOT be viewed as advice as to the safety of meeting. While there is legal leeway to meet, we must continue to consider what is safe for our congregation.

Therefore, nearer to our Re-opening date, we will issue the guidelines we will have in place as to,

Two of our highest aims are to represent Christ in the most honorable way we can, and your personal safety. We don’t want to be a stumbling block to our community, or a detriment to your physical health.

Therefore, let’s love our neighbors and lift high the name of Christ by doing the best we can to protect, love, and serve those around us as we make these re-opening decisions. And, as always, pray for wisdom and God’s guidance.

We look forward to our “Regathering Together.”

Maranatha Soon,

TBC Official Board
